GETTING TO TANGLEWOOD

Tanglewood is a historic, expansive, and mostly-outdoor music venue in the Berkshire hills of Western Massachusetts, located in the cute little town of Lenox.

All wedding day events will take place on Tanglewood’s campus. There are a few different entrances, but these directions will help you get to the right place! Reach out to us if you have any questions at all.

If you’re driving yourself or getting dropped off, enter “The Linde Center for Music and Learning” into your GPS/Google Maps and that will bring you to the closest parking lot to our venue, called the Bachrach lot. From the parking lot, there will be plenty of signs to guide you on a quick walk to the ceremony location.

If you’re staying in a hotel room block at the Hilton Garden Inn or the Courtyard Marriott, shuttle transportation will be provided to and from the wedding. The shuttle schedule will be provided to you upon check-in!

TRAVEL TIPS

We’re so happy and SO grateful that we’ll get to celebrate the best day of our lives with our absolute favorite people (that’s you). We can’t wait! We know it’s a long journey for many of you, and we are so incredibly appreciative of the effort you’re making to be there for our wedding day.

We hope you’re able to spend a bit of time exploring the Berkshires while you’re here (more on that if you keep scrolling). First, here’s a bit more information on getting out to Lenox.

By car 🚗
Lenox is a 2.5-hour drive from Boston and a 3-hour drive from New York City. If you’re within driving distance (anything within a five-hour drive of Lenox), your best bet for travel is a road trip!

By plane ✈️
The closest airports to the Berkshires are Boston Logan, Albany, and Bradley International. If you’re flying in, you’ll likely need to rent a car (or hitch a ride with another wedding guest). We’re happy to help connect guests who are coming in from out of town — just let us know!

… AND A WEEKEND SOUNDTRACK

A few tunes for the road (or the air) to get you in the celebrating mood 🥳

Whether you’re on your way via plane, train, or automobile, we pulled together a selection of jams to accompany your trek out to Lenox →

 THE BERKSHIRES

The Berkshires are pretty magical, and we hope you get the chance to explore a bit while you’re out here. There’s plenty to do in and around Lenox, and the nearby towns of Great Barrington, Lee, and Stockbridge, as well as Williamstown and North Adams (a bit farther out!) have a ton to offer, too.

Below are a few of our favorite spots in the area. This weekend will be a busy one, so be sure to make dinner reservations or purchase museum tickets ahead of time where you can!

Eat

Alta: Delicious Mediterranean dinner spot, downtown Lenox

Bistro Zinc: Upscale French restaurant, downtown Lenox

Frankie’s: Great Italian, downtown Lenox

Betty’s Pizza Shack: Casual, beach-themed pizza shop

Prairie Whale: Super eclectic spot with awesome food in Great Barrington, if you feel like venturing out a bit

Guidos (Pittsfield): Awesome food market right in front of the Hilton Garden Inn

Red Lion Inn: A Berkshires classic in the heart of Stockbridge (there are a few other great spots nearby, too!)

Prime Lenox: Italian steakhouse and bar with a patio

Drink

Firefly: Amazing live music on Friday nights from 7-10

Brava: Tapas and good drinks with a cute patio

Olde Heritage Tavern: Classic pub in town, loved by locals

MoonCloud: Very cool cocktail bar with a lounge and patio in Great Barrington

Nejaime’s Wine Cellar: For a great wine selection (ideal for picking up a bottle for a picnic!)

The Ostrich Room: New bar inside the Apple Tree Inn with great cocktails

Coffee/Breakfast

Haven: Great breakfast / lunch / coffee spot in downtown Lenox (can get crowded)

Lenox Coffee: Good spot for quick coffee stop

Shots Cafe: Another coffee/bakery option right in town

Explore

Tanglewood: The grounds are beautiful, and well worth an extra trip to walk around!

FAQs

  • The festivities kick off on Friday night and end on Sunday morning, but the main event is Saturday evening. Please plan to be at the venue by 4:45pm on Saturday. Otherwise, enjoy the Berkshires for as long as you’re able to!

  • Cocktail attire will be perfect (though we’ve spent the last 2+ years in stretchy leggings, so, we feel you on this one.)

Please note, weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors on the lawn, so shoes that can traverse grass would make your life easier.

  • It looks like Christy has been granted her wish of a *very* warm wedding day. Temps will be unusually warm, possibly reaching up to 90 degrees (!) You might not need that light jacket after all…

  • We’d love for everyone to be present and to not have phones/cameras out during the ceremony. We will have a photographer and videographer capturing the whole event and we'll be sure to share with you!

  • We are asking all guests to take a rapid test before joining any of the wedding festivities. Of course, if you test positive, or are experiencing Covid symptoms, we (sadly) request that you do not attend any wedding events. But that won’t happen! Can’t wait to see you all!
